The Office of Student Affairs at Harvard’s Division of Continuing Education provides holistic support and connection to resources for our students.

Embarking on an academic journey affects each person differently, presenting expected and unexpected difficulties along the way. The following is a collection of Academic Resources managed by various departments at DCE to support your student experience.

See the Harvard Extension School 2023-2024 Academic Calendar for important links and deadlines.

Computer Lab at 53 Church Street

The Church Street Computer Facility provides computer labs and technology-rich classroom space to students and faculty of Harvard University Extension School and Harvard University Summer School. Extension School students can connect their own computers to the campus wired or wireless network. Computer labs and printers are also available at 53 Church Street.

Library Resources

By registering for a course at the Harvard Extension School, you can take advantage of many Harvard Library benefits, including access to over 3,000 electronic databases and journals. All FAS libraries are open to active HES degree candidates and premedical program participants with a student ID card as well as currently registered HES students with a class participant library card.

Math Question Center

The best way to learn math is to do math. Although you are expected to do your best to complete course assignments yourself, there is a difference between wrestling with a math problem to reach new levels of understanding and struggling to the point of frustration and increased confusion. The Extension School offers the Math Question Center to support you in that journey!

The Writing Center

Whether you are a beginning or veteran writer, tutors at the Writing Center can help you look critically at your writing.  Registered Extension School students can get help with many writing-related issues, such as organization, focus, style, grammar, citation of sources, documentation, and writing a thesis. The Writing Center offers online Zoom appointments.
